Our Story
Serenus Health started as a simple idea. After countless clinical experiences, both the good and the bad, Serenus Healthcare founder realized our current mental health system was broken and ineffective. He saw the huge gaps in care and the inability to connect people with services in rural communities. He also saw the one-size-fits-all model that was taking place in urban areas. He knew the system needed to change. That’s why Serenus Health was born. The company’s slogan says it all: “Healthcare that’s outside the box.” Through his experiences, the founder realized that too many people were being treated the same, regardless of their individual needs. He wanted to create a new model of care that would treat everyone uniquely and understand their problems from different perspectives. He also wanted to improve efficiency and effectiveness in connecting people with the right services rather than just connecting them to connect them. These constant failures of the system and the inability to connect people with the correct services pushed the founder of Serenus Health to go to the drawing board and figure out a new approach to healthcare. He wanted to create a company that would provide individuals with care that was truly outside the box, approaching problems differently rather than assuming everyone is the same and should be treated the same. He wanted to incorporate technology into healthcare to deliver better outcomes and better care. Today we are happy to say that his dream has become a reality with the formation of Serenus Health.
Not just another Telehealth company
Serenus Health didn’t want to be just another Telehealth company. We are all about providing both better and the right care. The founder believes that telehealth is a tech breakthrough to help people connect with services more efficiently and quickly. But that’s not always the case. Serenus Health isn’t a volume-based telehealth company. We want to spend the right amount of time with our clients so they feel confident in their healthcare. At Serenus, we use technology to help build relationships with our clients and provide a personalized approach to each client, not just see them quickly. Serenus Health wants to set itself apart from other telehealth companies by using both 2-way video calls and other tech to provide individualized care. What makes us different? We’re founded by nurses and we’re proud to say that we started and are still self-funded. We’re not just another VC-backed healthcare tech company looking to hit returns. We’re in the business of making a positive impact on the lives of our clients. As we say in our mission, we’re all about the individual and aiming to make a difference at that level, one day at a time.
